Glacier Shear

Newton's method applied to f(z) = z¹⁴ + (0.42+0.66i)z¹¹ - 0.85z⁸ + (0.55-0.38i)z⁵ + 0.30z³ + (0.18+0.44i)z - (0.62+0.20i). Three complex coefficients break the mirror symmetry of the basins, so the lace shears diagonally across the frame. Colour shows the smoothed iteration count with a cool tint for each basin.
